@arionarian seems like there are some problem with Alsa, try to reinstall it. There's a guide on Ubuntu website on how to do it, you should check that out

My soundcard is ES1988 Allegro, first time using GTKRecordMyDesktop it's working, and now I can use it anymore, wat do you think?

my problem is that when i talk to anyone at skype my sound from youtube and evrything else is gone it wasent like this before plis reply .

You don't need to install Skype to get sound working. WTF?

any idea what you do when you only have PulseAudio server (Local) in your Skype Window ? my mic dosnt work on the test call but my speakers do!

instead of installing skype, you guys can type aplay -l in the terminal to find out what card and device are available. Then, go to gtk-recordmydesktop and enter either 'hw:x,y' or 'plughw:x,y', where x is the card number and y is the device number.
