I read a questions on whether you have to "start a session" to get it to measure heartrate/cals burned. The answer was that it will display heartrate outside of a session, but not cals burned. My question is- what are the limitations of having to start a session? One of the things I want to do is periodically check my metabolic maintenance rate by wearing it all day to see how many cals I burn with no extra activity. Is it possible to do that with this watch or is there a session time limit?
