Pro Open Final Race at the Traxxas Motown Michigan National Snocross

This is the restart to the Pro Open final at the Traxxas Motown Michigan National Snocross which took place at the Pontiac Silverdome Saturday, February 12th, 2011. After a large pile up of most of the top contenders and some damage to Ross Martin's sled, the racers had to restart.

The AMSOIL Pro Open went down as one of the highlights of the season, with Tim Tremblay getting a massive lead after a first turn pileup induced restart. Hibbert and Martin then chased Tremblay in a shootout of the current point leaders. When Hibbert went down on the back straight, it looked as if Tremblay may be in line for his first win of the season. With seven laps to go Martin worked by Tremblay and AMSOIL/Air Force/Rockstar rider Robbie Malinoski closed the gap in third. The top three finished in that order with Hibbert racing back through the field to challenge Malinoski at the finish. Garth Kaufman had another great ride to finish fifth.
