Footage from our capital on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 - five days after the devastating terrorist attacks. Johanne Dybwad Square, Karl Johan Street, the Palace, the University, Parliament, the cathedral, Young Square with the Labor Party headquarters, City Hall ... and just various streets downtown with people walking around, enjoying the sun, and placing flowers and candles in memory of the victims. Everyone was calm and relaxed. I am proud to see my countrymen handling this grief and pain in such a dignified manner. It's beautiful with all the flowers adorning so many places.
FYI, foreigners: the red rose is the symbol of the Labor Party ... that's why most of the flowers are roses.
Heisann! Really great and moving to see the beautiful and pacific way the Norwegians are responding to these horrible and nonsense violence in Oslo and Utoya. Ha det bra!
