Experience the last great gathering of World War II veterans. Through stunning archival footage, period music and dramatic first-person accounts, the servicemen recount their WWII experiences and remember their fallen comrades. Poignant cinematography by Drescher Films captures the bittersweet moments as old friends celebrate their final reunion... This is a highlight reel. My grandparents served in this war - my grandfather as a US Navy captain and my grandmother as a staff sgt in the WAC.
They did not live to see this. My grandfather died in 1986, my grandmother in 1998.
But I have seen this memorial in person.
And when I was there, I broke down and cried like a 2 year old.
