I got one more thing to say about your buddy austin! I spoke with the manager 500 Campus Drive in Morganville, NJ. and he was very angry about how your buddy put the elevator in fire service and shut the door on people. I told the manager that he stole the keys and he said that he better not ever touch his elevator again he is thinking about showing the video to the police as he downloaded it.
Fire service is Illegal to do unless you are a firefighter or supervised by management.

Always wondered what the U and D buttons do (yes I know U mean Up, etc) but what functionality do they have and what is their use? Early Otis lifts have them also (looks like an Otis panel actually).

@mrmattandmrchay they do have a purpose, they are used in attendant mode, (elevator operators mode) ih8escalators has a video of one in attendant mode,its the freight at the try county flea market. you hold the floor that you are going to and the direction you are going at the same time, and do it till you pass the floor right before the one you are going to.
