PART 1 OF 8 -- OUR AMAZING WEST COAST ROAD TRIP! ~PART 1 -- TEXAS TO ARIZONA~

This part one of eight of our amazing documentary
that records our journey up the and around the best
of the Southwest. This West Coast Road Trip was the
most amazing road trip ever taken. and I say that as
someone who just a month ago finished the amazing
sequel to the WEST COAST ROAD TRIP, by teaming up
with my boyfriend Guy to take on the East coast, one
lonely highway at a time. We didn't just hit a few
states and call it quits. I had to be back in NYC for
school after chasing the Midwest all Spring, so I had
to go a long, long way from my hometown in Dallas
Texas. But when we got to New York we just kept
going. We went all the way to the Northeastern most
tip of Nova Scotia (specifically, it was called Glace
Bay). ~Videos of the East Coast to follow this series~

The west coast memories are my most cherished, though
-- even as cool as that recent East Coast adventure
was -- even through the amazing beaches sporadic
along the Eastern seaboard, driving for weeks and
never leaving the coastal roads that etched the edges
of America from the bayous and backwoods of the
southern gulf states all the way up to the elite
tropical islands and rocky-cove beaches of the
industrial Northeast, and from there we forged on
further still to across the Canadian border and
through the countryside until we reached the point at
which we had physically run out land. Going any
further North at that point would take us into the
most forsaken and unforgivable polar tundras
untouched by man and unstable in climate, weather and
wildlife. Going any further Northeast in our journey
would mean committing ourselves to a random Icelandic
vacation. And we will not shy away from that prospect
next time (so long as we can afford the expenses as
driving a Hummer from Texas to Nova Scotia can run up
a bill obscene enough to make you sick, but so worth
it in the end....)

You can go as far as Iceland and the Yukon by car and
ferry boat, and by dirt roads and whispered remarks from travelers and backpackers, all coasts can be found and conquered.
AS FOR US -- well, given our addiction to the wonderous beauty and adventure out there, there's no telling where we'll end up next time we set out for a sunday drive.

It makes the world feel smaller, and more manageable
somehow, just knowing I can reach the greater part of
it from the comfort of my car. Planes are too
transient; there's something more organic about the
experience of traveling by open road.

And as cool as our latest feat up the east surely
was, the trip we took across the West Coast was my
road-tripping magnum opus. Our greatest adventure, to
date, indeed. So give it a go and leave comments if
you'd life.
