This song means a lot 2 me because it's basically telling U how short life is and everybody need 2 get right. They don't make good music like this anymore! The music nowadays is not what it used 2 be. The new music lately sucks! It will never be another Teena Marie! Her legacy of music will on! it will never die! If U are a 1980 baby like me, U know what I'm talkin' 'bout!

Teena voice of an angel,God shared her with us for a little while.I remember "square biz" like it was yesterday,i was pregnant with my 3rd daughter. and it was hot July and I wanted to go to the cluband dance. Baby all over me! she was born July 13th.Teena you will alway's be one of my favorite black soul sister's.Rest in peace sista,Rick will be happy to see ya!

I decided to check out who this Tina Marie was when I heard of her passing-I'm 48, and I've been hooked ever since. I listen to this almost everyday and still it gives me chills; makes tears come to my eyes.

This song right here--this is why we loved her. This was her first hit on R&B stations. It came out before videos were widley used to promote artists. We just loved the music and the voice. It didn't matter what she looked like. And when folks found out she was white, they still loved her. It just never mattered. The power of love in the music and her sincerity blasted right past all the stupid preconcieved notions. She was our sister and she sang our pain.

she still sounded awesome & powerful after so many years .....she obviously took good care of her voice.....but such a sound could only come from a person with a tremendous heart inside......full of love.
I can hear The Love every time she sings. Thank you Teena for loving us. We love you right back. .....and we WILL miss you.
As Heaven receives another angel.
