Red, blue, and green are additive primaries used when emitting light... colors are added..
Red, blue and yellow are traditional subtractive primaries, but can't produce all the colors of the spectrum (and yet it is still taught in school that these are the primary colors!) The true subtractive primaries are cyan, magenta and yellow.

@Celestyal22 No, its red green blue. Red Blue Yellow are the primary colours, and yes green is blue and yellow together, but that is not what Alton was talking about. Have you ever seen a projection TV? The three lights it has on the front are red, blue and green.
