You guys just dont get the movie

Again, I think that you guys are kind of missing the point of Kubrick in general, but more specifically, the film. He doesn't learn a lesson because that ruins the ambiguity. Good writing can have morals, but I think that great writing is when you are left with only moral issues, and use your own mind to decide: Is Alex supposed to be a hero or a villain? Do you hate him or wish that he would be able to have his freedom? It's OK not to like the film for it's approach, but that's why it's great.
