Close your eyes for a moment, and point in the direction of Pakistan...
Can you do it ?
I can't... and I can't see which way you are pointing...
You may be pointing in the right direction... but depending upon which part of the world you are in... you can be pointing in the right direction, but it will be a different direction than what someone else is pointing, even though they too are pointing in the right direction.
It is all a matter of perspective...
If I was to ask you what you think of Pakistan and it's people... your response would perhaps be somewhat different than that of people in other parts of the world.
With so much in the news lately, in relation to the reported killing of Osama bin Laden, you perhaps couldn't be blamed if you were to believe that the People of Pakistan are corrupt terrorists... and whilst there may well be elements within Pakistan that are corrupt, and supportive of Terrorism... it would be wrong to brand the entire people of Pakistan with that label.
Greed and Corruption are a blot on any country's reputation... and so much of it is the fault of Governments, rather than the people themselves.
I personally believe that the People of Pakistan are a very beautiful, proud and courageous people... as in any country... and as fellow members of our Human Family, they should be given 'the respect' they rightly deserve.

Much has happened in the world, particularly in relation to the effects of Natural Disasters... and the People of Pakistan have been forced to endure much suffering as a consequence of Natural Disasters that have affected their country.
More recently, the People of Japan have suffered greatly as the result of Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and subsequent problems at their Nuclear Power Plants... and it is important for us, as one humanity, to unite with the People of Japan (and any other Nation whose people are suffering) and do what ever we can, to help ease the burden on those people. Our strength as humanity is built on our support for each other in times of need... and if that support is diminished, so too is our worth as human beings.
Let us, as one human family, grow from strength to strength, through coming together in support of each other... rather than allowing perceived differences that result from racial, political or religious prejudice to diminish our value as human beings.

One People... One World... United through Peace and Love.
Make it happen !!!

  • My most beautiful country Pakistan with a bad and non sense politicians.

  • A lot of the good I have, I certainly got it from him. Today, as a manager, if I can have half of his eficiency as a professional, and half of his wisdom and humanity as a person I could consider my self almost on the edge of perfection.

More and more, we are One people, One Global Country, One Society, that will find its way of survival in togetherness, partnership, cumplicity and sharing. The way, globally, is only viable through cooperation and not through competition.

    Thanks,

    Jacques

  • Regarding Pakistanese people. I've an opinion. May be I was lucky, may be I was touched by one exception but I don't think so. I worked for a significant amount of time for IBM in Canada and my manager was a Pakistanese man. This was almost one decade ago. He'll be always remembered by me, as in him I found a profound sense of dignity, tremendos knowledge, always ready and open to teach and help, always protective of those working with and for him. Very humble, but a source of trust and light.

  • At this level, the act is committed once we just think and we will to commit it. It is not important if you do it or not. The "sin" is already done. So, if we look at this level, I, like any body that is reading this, like any other person in the world, were taken for the lowest feelings possible against other or others, wishing to cause them pain, misery or eventually death. So, at this level in a way or another we were already killers, murderers, terrorists, whatever.

  • I could not agree more. Regardless where we are, we find all kinds of people, minds and hearts. I'm western, I lived in Africa, Australia, Canada, US and Europe. Two levels of analysis determine that, in legal terms we pointed out when we practice in effect an out-law act or there is positive evidence that we were about to do it. So how many violence acts we found practiced arround the world? By the thousands.. Where? All over the world. The second level is at a psicanalitical level.

  • There have been arrests made on suspected terrorists in houses 10 mins away from my house brother Tom. I would hate to be associated with it and have my country as a whole judged on this. Each individual is responsible for his/her own actions. We have only one judge. He asks us to love one another. May we all follow His lead. ♥

  • Pakistan is that way. and it's a beautiful country with honourable people

love and respect from Africa ...thumps up

    One People... One World... peace
