  • This is one of my all time favorite Deep Purple, second only to Smoke on the water, I love the tough band sound of this, and Joe Lynn Turner' hard rock voice, he gave the band the personality it need in the front, that was gone when Ian left.

  • Los mejores, JLT es un monstruo,, una pena no verlos en esta gira,

    Saludos para todos deeppurpelianos.

  • Budapest version is best

  • From my perspective:

    1) JLT is self promotion. Good talent but very concerned with things that sell/popularity.

    2) Blackmore - craved more commercial acclaim and JLT gave him that and a little more control over the band's direction being the vocalist (i.e. Rainbow)

    3) Looks as if the two tried to change the band/people in it with their idea of what would sell. Problem is you can't change people or they become unhappy (seems obvious). This group of individuals were simply not meant to be Rainbow.

  • well I'm quite young... the slaves and masters was released when I was born... when I was 10, back in 2000, I recognized the beauty of DP. I bought me three albums. Come taste the band, Slaves and masters and In Rock... then I got me all of the others... I don't really care who's singing, coz it's all about the band working together and it didn't worked with the Prince of Darkness

  • I am a big fan of Deep Purple, with Ian Gillan & Joe Lynn Turner. Slaves and Masters was one of my favorite DP recordings, & I personally wish JLT was accepted more by the rest of DP (Ritchie Blackmore excepted). I think the JLT lineup had much to offer musically & DP could have experienced a big revival of interest among the fans with JLT. The Battle Rages On, released after Ian Gillan returned, had only 4 good songs - too bad we'll never know what might have been had JLT stuck around.

  • I love JLT and Deep Purple, but I must agree that JLT is not an optimal fit with Deep Purple.

  • nah,not jlt ,he does not fit in DP !

  • the riffs weren;t bad but JOE is SO wrong for purple.....they would have been better off with TOM fuckin;JONES!

  • We opened this tour for them in Burlington VT on April 1 1991.

DP was always my favorite band but with IG.

All th guys were great to meet and hang out with
