Kelsey survived a broken clavicle, two broken legs, and bruises from head to toe. She could not survive her last blow.

June 15,2005 Judge Craig Key sent Kelsey back to an abusive home.

On October 11th, 2005 Kelsey was murdered while at the home of her mother Raye Dawn Smith. Someone hit or kicked Kelsey in her stomach. Her death was ruled a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen. It is unknown who murdered Kelsey because both her mother and stepfather Michael Porter were home with her but both deny murdering her and both blame the other.
Kelsey's paternal family tried to get help for her granddaughter but no one listened. Kelsey's father Lance was a soldier in the army and had to leave his precious child behind.

Because of someone's hate Kelsey has missed out on the many joys that a child goes through. She may be forever gone but her memory lives on.

The song used in this video is very special because it is from a show Kelsey liked to watch, Brother Bear. Somewhere in heaven Kelsey is smiling down dancing and singing.
