add "+mlook" to config.cfg file or just type it in before you start playing to do mouselook... Also, W is forward, S backward, A strafe left and D strafe right. You'll plow thru just about every level short of the Elder God Shrine in no more than 4-5 minutes with those controls.

You are moving really sluggishly and slowly.... Are you using WSAD and mouselook? You would move much more seamlessly with that control set up. Trust me...
