  • @JariusMike yes indeed but unfortunately they dont offer the quality needed if you are serious filmer, that's why noone uses sony dslr for filmin. I was hopefull a77 would be ok but it seems it isnt

  • @joaocorreiamedia Sony DSLRs have in body stabilization and all prime lenses would hence be stabilized

  • If anyone is interested, check out FilmRiot. They just did a segment on making your own steady cam rig on the cheap. Seems to do the job very well in their examples.

  • This makes you think that you can shoot with a 30mm 1.4 Sigma on your DSLR totally handheld, which you can't. There's no IS on these lens, so any small movement will make your camera shake. The best thing to do is to make your own steadicam (like I did) or just build a shoulder rig (I bought mine).

  • @jackwhk81 I'd really like to know as well

  • sanx )

  • @PDFolirant I have a 24mm 1.8 sigma, it was just at the edge of being too "fish-eyed". 50mm 1.4 is good, 1.8 is ok too.

  • THANKS, LOVE IT.

However, after struggling with my 60D for 6 months, I finally decided to get a steadicam.

It might not worth to spend 500 euro on a rig, but definitely worth for a steadicam.

Otherwise there is no MOVING, only fix spots, gets boring after a while.
