  • They should have photo enforcement at all crossings in the U.S, far too many people run the gates and get hit.

  • ha today i saw a camera flash at some drivers...

  • crank up the fines a bit more but then again what happens when the light s start flashing and the gates havnt moved

  • does california still have license plates on the front of the vehicles- a lot of places only have a rear license plate now

  • RED LIGHT CAMERAS ARE NOW BEING TURNED OFF IN MOST CITIES! THIS IS NOW PROVING THAT THEY DO CAUSE ACCIDENTS FROM NOT BEING FAIR TO THE DRIVER...WHY NO COUNTERS AT THESE LIGHTS HELPING THE DRIVER TO DETERMINE THE LIGHT CHANGE? RED CAMERA LIGHTS ARE TRULY FAULTY AND NOW HAVE BEEN PROVN TO CAUSE REAR END ACCIDENTS!! ALL CITIES NEED TO SHUT THEM OFF AND SEND THEM BACK TO ARIZONA

  • @EJE665 -I second that. Too many idiots try to beat trains. The ones who don't? Lawsuits against the railroad companies when it was the motorists fault.

  • If a crossing doesn't have a road along side the tracks, a better plan would be to have barriers between the lanes up to the crossing. I'm seeing that implemented at some crossings near me, and it keeps people from crossing the gates. At the same time, some of the same crossings have allowed trains to not have to blow their whistles. While I don't like that part, the barriers are a better solution than cameras. Cameras don't always fix the problem (especially red light cameras).

  • Accidents from these photo cops... are always happening!! You have to sign for a physical given ticket? ... if you receive a photo enforced ticket legally you don't have to appear cause you never signed the ticket!! that was given by the photo enforced light... Its your right!! these cameras are fishing holes and everyone knows they are a joke thats why they are going broke and cities are starting to abandon the program!! HA HA!! :)

  • Hit em' in the pocket books. That's the only way the'll listen (maybe not even then).

I agree this needs to be done at a lot of grade crossings. At least the most busy ones.
