  • @Snyarhedir (But let me just say that without even having read the book or watched the movie, I know that it is a bad story. He essentially based it on what might have been just a rumor of a real soldier in a similar condition, and while he wrote it as an anti-war story (or so he wants us to think), it is a far better anti-medical story.)

  • Why don't you stop comparating VSQ with Apocalyptica??

    Both are awesome!

  • @Snyarhedir Sorry. I forgot how long the song actually is. I did not really mean the finish; I meant the part that goes "Darkness.......left me with life in Hell".

  • @Snyarhedir After listening to it again, I halfway take it back--especially now that I have seen the official music video featuring clips from Dalton Trumbo's Johnny Got His Gun.

  • GAAH, why is it that Apocalyptica is the only group that does string covers of Metallica without SKIPPING NOTES!?!

  • I especially like the finish--it is reminiscent (spelling?) of music that you would hear in the Star _ franchises (Star Wars, Star Trek, and even Star Fox).

  • This is an excellent cover. I like it better than the original because the sound does not fit the darkness and tragedy of the lyrics.

  • ill give it a 3/10, is has no power, and make some vocal parts, but the ending was good

  • in my opinion, apocalypticas version is better, but this one rocks too!

  • they actually had a CD out for this... I had it for a while... Don't remember what happened to it...

dammit I miss that CD now
