Gloves are not necessary in home care. Of course, you can use them if you like, but they are expensive and often not covered by insurance. Good hand washing is acceptable at home (but not in hospitals)

@stevenscottoddballz Changing the tube will usually stimulate coughing. The coughing is a automatic response to a foreign object in the airway (the tube).

I always thought a trach hole in the skin was bigger than that. Why was he coughing at 0:46 & 01:30?

@siciliangirl22 He was born 3 1/2 months early. His airway was damaged from being on a ventilator in the NICU.
