well i would say yes, however they are a bit far still, since over 3/4 of the pop makes under a dollar a day, one of the big things about being a super power you need a military that is able to deploy land, air and sea globally, much like England did in the 18th centur, and what the us does in current times. yes china is on the rise but as well as India, and its not impossible for the us to stay a superpower, many people think the US is going down the tubes, but only time wil show.
