I know what you mean... =< I had to pick out new glasses today, and I chose in favor of the frameless ones (all the better to not notice them) partially because of memories of schoolyard bullies. Even after all these years, my instinct is *still* to de-emphasize my glasses, if possible. ^_^'

I just love Babar and the way this show makes a point about important things like bullying and being different. It's a shame they don't do programes like this anymore. Just like Alfred J. Kwak. It taught me so much about other cultures and also anti-racism.

@estherliewian I would have to disagree with you on your last point. Granted, humans are different from other animals, but we are still animals. We are just as you put it, "different". But then take a look at the rest of the animal kingdom, dogs opposed to cats, horses opposed to cows, birds as opposed to fish etc. All animals are different. And if you look at the example of human bullies, they dislike those who are different from them, much like other animals in the world
