A storming jam session by this hot band on SOMEBODY STOLE MY GAL, blending Bix and his Gang with Fats and his Rhythm. Vince and "the boys" -- Randy Sandke, tp; Randy Reinhart, cnt; Jim Fryer, tb; Mark Lopeman, Dan Levinson, Dan Block, reeds; Alan Grubner, vln; Peter Yarin, p; Ken Salvo, bj, g; Vince, b, b-sax, tuba, voc; Arnie Kinsella, d -- romp! Chase choruses for the two Randys and the two Dans are a highlight, but nothing can top Jim Fryer, a whole trombone section in himself. Live at Chartwell Booksellers' annual holiday do at the Park Avenue Atrium, New York City. Recorded by Michael Steinman. See and hear more at http://www.jazzlives.wordpress.com.

  • oh man, do I ever wish I was in New York! They are absolutely fabulous! It's obvious that these musicians love to play this style of music.

  • We are so fortunate to have Vince and the boys keep the Golden Age of jazz

(1920's-1940's) alive..Because of them we are better as a culture!

  • My god, such a gifted musicians!!
