Blå Station Dancing Hippo #2 -music

Who is Hippo? Is it a chair or a hippopotamus or a ballerina? Togheter with Stavfel produktion and Lisa Agby we have tried to capture the spirit of Hippo in a few short filmclips.

Hippo is a wooden chair that has a feeling of traditional security at the same time as exuding an air of modern playfulness. The design is a balance between the playful dance of a ballerina and the stability and power of a hippopotamus.

Hippo's journey began when Mia Gammelgaard asked if we wanted to produce her contribution to the Snedkernes autumn exhibition, "White Out". Naturally, we said yes, and that's when the journey got under way. Many long hours of product development later, Hippo was shown for the first time on 29 October 2010 in Copenhagen.
