Race of traditional/vintage yachts from Annapolis to St. Michaels. Sponsored by Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and Eastport YC, the race features a traditional start.
At the starting gun, skippers start rowing to their yachts. Upon the skippers reaching their yachts, the anchor can be weighed, the sails hoisted.and the race begun
The race is named after ELF, a racing topsail cutter built by Lawley in 1888. One of the replica Sandbaggers won this inaugural race.
