Malcolm X explains his comments regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

"If you stick a knife in my back nine inches and pull it out six inches, that's not progress. If you pull it all the way out, that's not progress. The progress comes from healing the wound that the blow made. They haven't even begun to pull the knife out. They won't even admit the knife is there.

You can't blame whites for the things that happend in the past. (black man speaking here) BUT you can blame whites of this day for continuing where

    their "fathers" left off.

Malcolm changed his segregationist and racist views after he went to Mecca. He realized that the Muslims were of every colour and race. Basically he saw that all people were brothers, and that we had a world human rights problem, and not just a black american problem.

"except malcolm is so much cooler than that loser Barack" I know your comment is 5 years old but what were you thinking back then? I was only 14 so I didn't have an informed opinion, I just thought it was cool to see a black man running for president

Also, see the 110th Congress's formal apology for slavery:

"Whereas African-Americans continue to suffer from the complex interplay between slavery and Jim Crow--long after both systems were formally abolished--through enormous damage and loss, both tangible and intangible, including the loss of human dignity, the frustration of careers and professional lives, and the long-term loss of income and opportunity;"
