Are you getting calls from a Private Processing Division ?

Update: The address are most likely forwarding addresses, this company is not likely in the US, so there is no real threat of a lawsuit, and even if there was, my attorney says its an easy counter suit against them because they are violating FTC regulations. So if anything bring on a lawsuit so you can counter sue them. Basically this is a scam, even though they have accurate information about your credit report.

  • Thank you for responding. Yeah it is a total scam. My attorney told me to send an email stating they had to send me a 30 day notice in writing before I had to pay and I did and the guy, Eric Vera, emailed me back saying I had to contact my agent and they can't do anything off my email. So I asked for my agents email and never got a response. Also I am still waiting for my papers to be served. Haha

  • @dncngerl17 ya its funny how they never called me back after this, or actually "served me" . If you ever actually get sued either you will get it from a sheriffs office or certified mail, never fall for a phone call.

  • Weird... Did you pay the debt or do you still owe it? I was going to pay mine to get it off my credit report. Should I not pay my old card then? I'm confused. I want to get my credit score up to buy a house and my lender said I have to get this cleared. What do you think?

  • @clearsmokebomb I have some additional advice for you, contact the debt advice counselors at 1-800-388-2227 its free national assistance and advice. Also when I talked to them about the same question they told me that actually paying the debt can hurt your credit because it shows up as a settlement, which is a negative impact on your credit and it will be recent. If the debt was a long time ago, it might be best to just wait for it to drop off your credit report. Old debt has a low factor anyway

  • I just received a phone call like this, this morning and am pretty fishy about it. They want 600 bucks from me too. Do you know if its a scam?

  • @dncngerl17 I posted a response on the video to your question

  • Also, they may have your credit report, they might have accurate information about your debt but that does not mean they are legit.

  • I spoke to my attorney about this, one this company is not likely in this Country, If a collection agency does not give you a verifiable address in the US dont pay, that's the bottom line. They can't sue you because they are not in the US, and second these types of calls violate the FTC regulations, and if they were in the US my attorney told me that its an easy counter suit against them, and you could end up with more money than you owe them in the end anyways. So DO NOT PAY THEM

  • Its possible that this company is not even in the states, they will not sue you, don't listen to their stupid threats, even if they do sue you you have an easy counter suit against them if you have these types of messages, because its against the FTCA. So if they are in the country, sue them back and get money from them instead
