English Derives from; Latin, Greek and Spanish. As for Hunter gatherer society, this is partly true. But the people lived together off the land- education was the land and customs. There were no Merchant traders etc... to pass on anythin. So if you ask me They were doin pretty well...

No the English language is a Teutonic language derived mainly from the dialects of Saxony, and then with the Norman invasion, being influenced by the French language.
The basis of our laws and political structures are Greco-Roman,
NOT Judeo- Christian.

you need an education. For starters there were over 600 different language groups in 1788....fully developed languages. They had food, shelter, medicine, spirituality and most importantly family...a perfect society...until the boats sailed in....

- they were nomadic tribes that faught amonst themselves and had no cohesion

- no agriculture means a lack of food unless they 'find' it

-the most shelter they had was when they could find a cave

-besides a few plants and herbs they had no medicine to speak of

- i consider spirituality a negative for all cultures

-family? they had a tribe hierarchy that resulted in peoples deaths if they didnt marry who they were told to. they also kidnapped and raped women from other tribes

umm, you're wrong on all counts and obviously very ignorant. You will need to educate yourself before we can resume this debate...

So where do you get your info from? 1950's encyclopedia?

"umm, you're wrong on all counts and obviously very ignorant. You will need to educate yourself before we can resume this debate..." -

i got my information straight out of the text book (2005 i believe) and from the first hand account of an aboriginal speaker who came to my school.

im interested int where you got your information from, as it's not based on reality im trying to decide if it's pure conjecture or if you've been mislead by the media.

recognise them for what they were.

I completed a Bachelor of Indigenous Studies, lived in an Aboriginal community (Bundjalung) for 5 years and have 2 Aboriginal children (also Bundjalung). I have numerous friends and relatives who are also elders (of various mobs), and am a proud advocate for aboriginal rights....which has been my passion for the past 16 years. Want any more info?

One textbook and one aboriginal speaker...woah, way to research :/

Who wrote your textbook? Just out of interest....
