FL Studio - Get Down Now

Hit the floor! I wrote this song in about 3 hours from concept to mastering. This song is a satire to show the world how easy and simple this style of music is to make. Because Trance is based on rock progressions it is one of the simplest and lowest forms of music theory. It is a very accessible style. It also requires a less sophisticated ear to enjoy. This is why YouTube is clogged with 10,000 wannabe artists (who release songs every day) who are instead really just technicians. It is meant to be cliche. I like a good trance song too, but seriously , I wish it was harder to make so that so many people would stop calling themselves musicians or producers when they are really merely technicians.

The pattern is good, but the sound itself, I didn't find it was the best thing you can do. You could search for others punchy acoustic, or harsh 8-bit type of sounds to dive in reality ...? Or not ;)

This song was made in 3 hours. It is a satire that shows how simple (fist pump) Trance is to make. It was a complete accident. If you check out my other songs you will see that Trance is not my style. I am an artist. I like to write masterpieces instead of letting my computer write songs for me and becoming a technician. This is why so many "Techno Musicians" choke YouTube. Unlike many of my peers I actually learned music theory and play real instruments.

I think you're right, nowadays everybody can "do" some music but not everybody is a real artists...

You should try and go with FL Studio which is not at all concerned with the whole rack style system and is more concerned with making real music with real notes in real time. I have only briefly messed with Reason 3 some time back and I was completely unable to even get it to make a single pattern.

FL Studio has come a long way in the last few years and I believe it to be the best program for making electronic music from scratch.

I appreciate the compliments. My favorite parts are the bridge in the middle and the hearbeat change at the end followed by a cool cymbal array :) I like to hide my leads inside of themselves sometimes, so you have to open them in your mind like a little audio present.

It won't be too long now until I am releasing both albums simultaneously.

great dance beat and love the rhythm, and the drums (yet again) spot on. Dude this is so good, really good dance tune and love the build ups, you deffinately got the ear for the effects that mix well and deffinately love the tun its self. Fantastic dance tune with spot on mastering cant wait for your second album :)

Yes, as a matter of fact part of the bassline is SimSynth but it is merged with another generator. Very subtle - you have a good ear. I have better VST's obviously, but I use it all the time for its simplicity to good soundingness ratio. Plus it just seems like it was designed for dance-based electronica. Big ups to SimSynth for being so versatile!!! :)
