Shouldn't this be under the multi-percussion category? I thought it was in the rules that you couldn't use anything other than the snare. Maybe I'm thinking of DCI rules...

The DCA rules do state you cannot play on any other instrument other than the category in which you are competing. However, they have not enforced that rule.

Billy did a heckuva job on that solo, playing rudiments to the max, keeping the rhythm and playing clean throughout.  There's a hint of "old skool" in that solo, too, folks. Flams out the ying yang! Take note, youngsters in marching band and DCI. Craig Myers, Rome NY
