Me and some friends were fishing on lake mounstberg at mountsberg conservatioin area when one guy was reeling in a pike around 1 lbs he noticed it got really heavy....the first thought was it got wrapped around some weeds. We never realized what had happened until the fish surfaced for the first time! The big 10 lbs 38" pike had bit the side of the little pike and refused to let go! The big guy wasn't hooked at all! Crazy!

Yeah I have been lucky to get a few that size but nothing much bigger.

Yup I was using a rapala husky jerk hj-14 rattling/suspending.

that's a load of crap. only someone from manitoba or ontario would believe that. out farther west, people know better.

again, if you were right, the charters, guides, and professional anglers on some famous monster pike lakes like, tobin, wollaston, reindeer, selwyn, athabasca to name a fistfull... would be doing that... we don't.

That has happen to me. I caught a huge perch so I put it on the stringer and a bass was sucking on it the whole time. So when I pulled it up it was nothing but a head.

had that happen to me once in my life. was walleye fishin and a pike came up grabbed the walleye and took my line back down. ended up netting the walleye after the pike finally let go. but the fish was trashed.

Haha thats awesome. We got muskies where I live but not pike. They get huge too we had a 32 pound, 48 inch musky caught not far from my house this summer I think it's the official state record now. Nice pike btw
