Ok, I have been transitioning for just under 3 months and I have had those months when I was like just relax it. But you have to learn to work with your own hair. My mother did my hair when it was natural and then when I got older enough to do it, my mother relaxed it. BUT I'm rocking kinky twist now and I'm going to try the coconut relaxer by Thatgirl5 cause it strengthens the relaxed hair and it softens the natural hair. I have very little breakage thank God

Thanks for this information. I thought that I was doing something wrong as to why my hair would just tangle so badly. It is just the battle of transitioning. I am into my 5th month and Dec. 15 will be 6 months. I appreciate your wisdom.

lol my 9yr olds hair is two diff... letting the relaxer go. i know what you mean looking forward to her all natural puff no straight hairs. as for me my 2nd time doing the bc did last summer wore comb twist for about 3mnt then reverted back after going to a hairshow. now i plan to stay natural my bc was done like 3weeks ago and youre right its a mental thing. alot of people dont understand why? and i have to tell myself its what God gave me love it and be fly and get on you tube lol thank you

Great information. Youtube is so helpful in this area. I probably would have relaxed my hair by now if I didn't have access to so much hair advice. "10 months since my last relaxer" Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the video! I'm currently transitioning and it is a bit difficult at times. I took out my cornrows yesterday and I had knots and tangles for days! I plan to do my BC in June, I've been transitioning since November. I plan to wear weaves until I BC, but will also cut a little at a time to make things a bit easier. All I can say is that I'm getting REALLY IMPATIENT and want to BC now! I'll post my first video when I do. Thanks for the info:)

I'm in transitioning month 5. This is my second time transitioning and it's alright for you to say that it's hard because it really is. It's frustating trying to detangle, and breakage is inevitable. I know more now than I did the first time so instead of running back to a perm I'm really feeling the urge to do a BC. But, I want to wait until I have enough hair for a puff. But yeah, transitioning is not easy.
This is true. Im ready to stop transitioning now! LoL!

I enjoyed this video. Good warnings for *transitioners* I also like how you said you wanted to experience your natural hair short, long, longer, etc. For me, the only thing that was hard while transitioning (9 months) was that i was impatient. i wanted natural hair "now". my hair never broke off between the 2 textures. was never tangled and mangled LOL. I wore one ponytail, braids and kinky twists. Great vid. *tootles*
