**Please Read: I thought this video would be a great way to celebrate 300,000 views, as it introduces a new intrest of mine. I'm going to be increasing my rail-related videos a bit. Obviously elevators will always be the primary focus of the channel, but I had LOADS of fun rail fanning with my good friend Alex (Youtuber Zepplile).

Also, NEVER attempt to do this! This camera was placed on the rail over 5 minutes before the train arrived. Going on railroad tracks is highly dangerous and illegal if you are not at a crossing.

  • That was wicked badass. Lucky the camera didn't get smashed.

  • @FranceHopper It's all a matter of knowing where to place it :). The biggest risk is a loose rock or something hitting the camera, which is why I use my old Kodak Zi6 for these videos.

  • Wow that was awseome! Interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing!

  • @TheElevatorChannel Glad to see you getting into railfanning!

  • @Streetcar1743 I think it might have been..

  • Now, when was this made? Was this done on the Friday I came?

  • I've seen this in commercials. This is what an Amtrak train looks like at 75 miles an hour! In the Pentrex Production "Ozark Country Cab Ride", Dave Drui (narrator) says its always "White Nuckie" time each time a train comes to a town as an engineer never knows what to expect. Jacob, at least you were lucky and made it back home in one piece!

  • @buddybuddy0920 oh lol maybe it was a small camera and lots of other people have done it too

  • @fancysnake1 I meant for the camera not to be crushed!

  • Great job and great video!
