I've seen this in commercials. This is what an Amtrak train looks like at 75 miles an hour! In the Pentrex Production "Ozark Country Cab Ride", Dave Drui (narrator) says its always "White Nuckie" time each time a train comes to a town as an engineer never knows what to expect. Jacob, at least you were lucky and made it back home in one piece!

@FranceHopper It's all a matter of knowing where to place it :). The biggest risk is a loose rock or something hitting the camera, which is why I use my old Kodak Zi6 for these videos.
