@BrokenPenciLead BET= BLACK entertainment television. There are commercials on other stations that target other audiences, may they be black, white, old, or just a nerd. And besides, Rap-It-Up is aimed at "african americans". That's their mission statement. You saying this public service announcement is stereotyping is like saying the entire BET network is stereo typing.

@BrokenPenciLead It's just targetting the demographics of BET viewers.
According to one website, it says Programming on BET is targeted primarily for African Americans ages 18-34 although it is watched by viewers 12 - 54

I understand that statistically speaking, African Americans have the higher population of HIV/AIDS infected. But AIDS doesn't know race...so why does this commercial? Why doesn't BET just start a AIDS awareness rap? Jeeze, I'm all for knowledge and awareness, but this is blatant stereo typing. Gross.
