The Oversight Committee holds a hearing, "Allegations of Waste, Fraud, and Abuse at the New U.S. Embassy in Iraq." The hearing examines the performance of the State Department and its contractors in the construction of the new $600 million U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The Committee reviews questions regarding the embassy compound construction as well as allegations of labor abuse through improper contracting practices. National Security and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee Chairman John Tierney questions former employees of First Kuwaiti Trading & Contracting Company.

  • this is really bad. i hope the filipino people will wake up, we don't have to work for foreign people to suvive. we're endowed with talents and resources.

  • why our fellow filipino wanna go to iraq? iraq is whack...dangit i hate this thing, filipino should not be workin with no health care and safety equipment

  • First Kuwaiti holds passports for most of their workers as a way to hold hostage these workers. The workers are not provided proper safety equipment to work and have no proper health care that they provide their employees.
