  • Believe me, no one show has ever cost more money than Avatar. They even have the crew start paperwork sign non-disclosure agreements saying never to discuss the budgets etc. on those big projects. And for that much money, think about how few workers they used--save for all the CGI artists--and most those I think they employed in New Zealand.

  • For the record, guys...A buddy of mine was a production assistant on Pirates 3, I was a PA on Spiderman 3 in '06 and then Avatar just for a couple days in April '07. As far as budgets go--coming straight from the accounting offices of these shows and not wikipedia!

Avatar: $420 million including development costs. NOT including marketing.

    Spiderman 3 $320-ish million. w/omarketing.

Pirates 2/3 About $500 million for both.

Ignore wikipedia and what the studios say.

  • the most expensive movie ever made is pirates of caribbean:dead man's chest.

If you don't believe me,search on wikipedia
