Here are my fancy-tail goldfish in a 55-gallon tank. One Black Moor, two Pearl Scale, and one Red Oranda. They are about 2.5 years old and measure about 4" long.
I feed them a rounded teaspoonful of Wardley Goldfish Crumbles once a day. It will take another three years to get them to the 7" size. At that point, for the four of them, my 55 gal. tank will be too small. I believe the rule of thumb is 1 gallon for every inch of fish, but full-bodied (fat) fish like my goldfish will need more like 2 or 3 gallons per fish.
how long will it take before they get like 7 inches long
