This is Pepper's story. He suffered through two completely preventable severe eye infections and a parasite infection. He almost died in the back of the petstore. He was in a rubbermaid with nothing but a paper towel. The didn't want to give him hay, because he might pee on it. He was very scarred by that ordeal, and every January and February, he retreats into the corners of his cage and hides. He still fears men, and he gets so anxious he trembles.

nice. I think the story was sad, he never played before! my chinchilla had a leg infection and soon got to his other leg. Thank God for my vet because he almost died To pepper: Hello!

I've been watching vids on youtube for a very long time. I finally rushed to create an account just to post a comment about this video. I'd like to say you are one wonderful and beautiful person to save a chinchilla from an abusive pet store (among many). This world would be a much better place with more ppl like you. Thank you so much for a touching video and touching my heart. I am surprised I am only the second posting on here. We just bought a chinchilla, and we love him. God bless u. :)

Thank you so much! We love our chinchillas so much, but even more for what they've gone through. I thought that people should be aware of what happens to them, and that there is a way to help. :)
