Convert a digital camera into a lensless microscope by placing tiny objects directly on the glass cover of the imager chip. A stereo microscope is made by illuminating the subject with two LEDs synchronized to the frame rate of a video imager chip. The pixels are about 8 microns square, producing an effective magnification of about x25.
