  • Actually, the goof here looks like it was in the control room, not on Dave and Wendy's part, as the description seems to suggest. What they did, though, was classic: they made a gag out of the technical director's oopsie. Mac was indeed the pro. He is missed.

  • @frankd1965 Look at the reason why Wendy Left KNBC

listen to this watch?v=ib5zvlVc16A&feature=related this is a tirade between Paul Moyer and Ann Martin at KABC but I can Bet you that wendy saw the Diva complexes of LA Tv anchors.

  • Well Wendy returned to CBS 5 since 2007/2008 season

  • @dinfg6 I do agree. Gary Radnich is going to be inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame this October. I sure do miss Pete Wilson on the air. Wendy Tokuda was better off in San Francisco than in Los Angeles.

  • @frankd1965 I never even knew that Dave was the best radio host. Every time I heard of Great Radio hosts that are also great tv anchors I think of the late Pete Wilson on KRON, KGO am and ABC7 and Gary Radnich of KRON and KNBR. By The way I used to see Wendy Tokuda on KNBC in LA with Paul Moyer and Colleen Williams back in 1995. Wendy may be a great anchor in San Francisco but she never fit in with the LA TV audience.

  • @dinfg6 I was born in 1965 and he was a staple on KCBS radio for 25 years. I listened to him on parents car. he moved to KPIX(CBS)-5 in 1975 or 1976 and finished off his wonderful career. He was the first inductee into the Bay Area Radio & Television Hall Of Fame in 2006.

  • I wish I heard of Dave on KCBS AM but I was born when Dave became the Best Anchor in San Francisco. I was born in the reagan era.

  • @sflnewstv2 I use to listen to him when I was living in San Francisco, California. Dave was a Bay Area Legend. Gone but not forgotten. He will be missed.

  • RIP Dave McElhatton 1928-2010

  • I remember seeing this when it happened!

Dave and Wendy were the best team!!!!
