For anyone interested it is going to be done again this winter (Feb/Mar) in Munich and Berlin's Deutsche Oper. I'm seeing it again in March, 2011.

Not that I know of but I wish there was. I'm a big Carsen fan too. If you've not seen them, check my 4 video post on the production of Candide he did for the Paris Opera.

I saw this production on saturday 21 of feb and was blown away by an almost religious experience. I have never felt like this, ever! and there was absolutely NO WEAK LINKS! It was Ruxandra Donose (Composer), Violeta Urmana (Ariadne), Jane Archibald (Zerbinetta) and Roberto Saccá (Bacchus). It is the best Ariadne EVER! To be recommended! :)

Yeah, I saw them (thanks !), and hope it'll come out on DVD too ! I couldn't attend the production in Paris, unfortunately, but what I could hear and see from it looks spectacular. As always...

Wish I could find a video of his Frau Ohne Schatten from Vienna, which was somptuous (with Voigt, Heppner, Sinopoli....)

Following up, I saw it last week and it was wonderful. It is done without an intermission. I highly recommend the remaining Feb. '09 performances to anyone in Berlin.
