The Packers hosted one NFL playoff game at County Stadium, the December 23, 1967 Western Conference Championship against the Los Angeles Rams[7]. By beating the Rams 28-7, the Packers would face the Dallas Cowboys in the famed Ice Bowl at Lambeau 8 days later.

My dad has the green knit cap on, talking to Paul Novak. My cousin, Mike Bohl (Aunt Marge's son) is in Santa outfit. Here I was, a 19yr old kid taking a super 8 movie camera to a football game.

Note: #75 was Deacon Jones... The first defensive player to develop the sacking of quarterbacks, and he coined the term "sack".

Goal post was still in the end zone, but was moved from the goal line, and was consolidated from two posts to one.

Most of shots taken from bleachers. Dad had 2 season tickets and took me most of the time through the Lombardi years. You will see a Bart Starr interception (unusual). Number 23 is Travis "road runner" Williams. He had 4 kickoff returns for TD in his first yr.

  • "light em up if ya got em" ha ha love these old clips

  • Wow, great footage. there must be at least a dozen Hall-of-Famers on the field that day!

  • this is like the Zapruder film of football

  • Packers played in Milwaukee long before Vince arrived in Green Bay. I saw the Giants play the Pack at Marquette Stadium in 1954. The Rams were 11-point favorites in this 1967 season ender for LA. We had 42 yard line seats in Milw for 66 games from 1960-74, including this one.

  • @jacktheripoff1888 Lombardi knew that, based on rotating home field, he'd have two home games. He basically said play one home game in each stadium, and wanted the title game - the eventual Ice Bowl - in Green Bay. So, play the Western playoff in Milwaukee.

  • @jmed412 They hosted games in Milwaukee in the 30's at the State Fair Park race track, including an NFL title game.

  • Both benches shared same sidelines .
