Drying of ice dam water damage in a garage ceiling with focused directed heat. A sprinkler also broke wetting parts of the ceiling as well. Hot dry air is being forced and directed into the wet ceiling warming and drying at the same time. A Drieaz Sahara Pro Airmover along with an E-Tes Thermal Energy Drying machine is attached to layflat tubing and is ducted into a hole the sprinkler company cut into the damp sheetrock ceiling. The E-Tes is boosting the temperature 30-40 degrees. The added warmth accelerates the drying process. The garage was very cold and the drying would not have been efficient at low temperatures. Restoration of the water damage from the ice dam is accomplished with no demolition. Knowing how to dry out ceilingsand walls fast is the best way to prevent mold. @Jrenglehorn Its called layflat tubing. You can purchase it from Jondon, Drieaz, Aramsco, Wise Safety, etc.. When it is flat it measures 22 inches, when it is inflated it is 14 inches in diameter. Usually 500 foot roll for ~ $40.00. When we dry out wet ceilings this comes in real handy. We use it for ventilation alot as well. You can also attach it to HEPA 500, or Phoenix Dehumidifiers. We use alot of this on our water damage restoration projects. Clay

Clay- Great work! I've never seen a ETES been used before. Is that a simple plastic clear tube? Or a specialty item?
