Catholics, have some respect for a man who fought for what he believed in. He fought for religious freedom. He never lied, and he never opposed any clear doctrine of the Catholic Church, at least not until after the Catholic clergy excommunicated him and tried to murder him. He also made the word of God available to all. The separation from the Catholic Church was effected by the Catholic Church - partly for making the Bible available to all - and it was accepted by Luther's followers.

What is the matter with you people?
Lutherans, would Martin Luther like you badmouthing the Catholic Church? He only criticized tyrannous practices backed by political power, and that reality does not exist today. He wanted Catholics and non-Catholics to live in harmony, side by side. He also did not want to break away from the Catholic Church. He wanted to reform the Catholic Church. Christ Himself told us to love one another.

@worshipintruth i couldnt describe it better

@Notimeleftforyou2 I know you posted a year ago but, I think you just posted on the wrong video. Roman Catholicism is a lie and the roman catholics are thieves. I believe in the Bible. Not in a twisted False version set up by random men who call themselves 'holy'. The Pope is a lie. Cardinals are false. Mary is not holy and neither are the apostles. The Roman Catholics will be in my prayers, toward God.

@biggirl1352 Yes better. Luther tried to bring the Church back to the faith as found in the Bible, he never "invented any new religion".

@WorshipInTruth sorry if if i worded it wrong. :( i think u no wat i mean though.i mean he inspire it. is that better? and i usually just call myself a Christian.

So when Luther preaches against the excesses and corruptions of the catholic church he is a great man but when he teaches on the wickedness of the talmud and the lies of the jews he is some kind of monster? Luther was a bold man who always called it as it was, or at least how he saw it, and deserves respect for that whether or not you agree with "on the jews and their lies".
-
Since when are the jews above reproach?? And why??
-
@biggirl1352 First of all, Luther never "invented" any religion, he simply preached the Biblical faith as found in Scripture. Also, Luther rejected the term "Lutheran". Luther himself would much prefer if you just called yourself a Christian.
Christianity in it,s purest form! thanks to Martin Luther! Forget about the ancient and senseless rules of Rome and become a Protestant.

God does not teach for us to be lone ranger Christians. That's why His Spirit says in Hebrews 10 "Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together." I am not saying to fellowship in a hypocritical church. I am saying be a part of a Biblical, Christian church. That is His commandment, not my suggestion.
