Alice in Chains - Jerry's Extended Nutshell Solo - (Irving Plaza 9-8-09)

Hi there! How I managed to both get tickets to the show, and also sneak into the front row when I got there, still eludes me. Nonetheless, the AIC concert in NYC was amazing: Perfect, intimate setting, and the crowd was really into it. They played most of their hits and a couple of songs from the new album. I wasn't planning on recording this, but Jerry stepped right in front of me, and it just called for it. If there was one song dedicated to Layne, this was probably it....enjoy!

Jerry is a wild guitarist. Has been a favourite for years, but as of lately, especially with the release of "Black Gives Way To Blue", I can't stop listening and trying to figure out he is playing some parts.

I love this especially on a strat...is that a G&L he's playing here? Very cool.  Jerry is one of the best modern guitarist/singer/songwriters. I consider him this generation's Jimmy Page.

This honestly like one of greatest live versions for this solo, I could listen to it any day, any time. I love Jerry Cantrell so much! <3 He's just an amazing musician, in any way.

i would just about sell my soul just to get to jam with him for like two hours. that would be unforgettable. i still miss layne though. he completed jerry's talent absolutely. he's gotten alot better since 2002. holy crap. better than the first time i touched a woman. :)
