This is the last scene of a truly moving drama and great love story directed by William Wyler.

  • The only man to get two Oscars for one movie

  • Such a beautiful movie in every respect. One of my (many) favorite parts is when Wilma has to hold out her hand for Homer to put the ring on her finger. Her hand is shaking and before he slips the ring on, he puts his hand on top of hers and the looks they exchange are just perfect.

  • @gwtwcarlos You are right- But...maybe...I don,t know- I can find some girl with her charm, beauty, sweetness- Teresa was UNIQUE!!-

  • @gwtwcarlos

sorry, they no longer exist. :)

  • I just want to marry a girl like Teresa Wright!!!!-

  • I loved this movie. The combination of some of the best actors of that time, the cinematography, the music, the direction - I have loved it since I first saw it over 40 years ago.

  • @Dana888dana You are absolutely right!!- I saw Miss Wright in many films, and I agree with you- an underated actress- She was wonderful and very sweet, very lovely!!- Carlos- PS, I have the original sondtrack of the movie- a LP I bought some years ago- Wonderful music for a wonderful film-

  • @gwtwcarlos I just love this part of the film as well - this ending scene is indeed perfection! Yes, Teresa Wright was excellent in this film and an underated actress. Loved her in "Pride of the Yankees" as well. But yes,in this scene I thought the way Peggy and Fred ignored the ending part of the vows and Dana walks over to her and proposes was truly romantic and ingenious! And the music just ties it all up very nicely!

  • This has to be one of the best scenes ever!!- Everything in perfect- It has suspense, emotion, sentiment, force, passion..true love- If you, guys, see Teresa Wrights face, when Fred looks at her for the second time and her eyes are full of emotion, and at the end, when Fred speaks to her, I think her face is just a miracle. Without any word, she shows EVERYTHING she,s feeling- I don,t know if it was planned that the hat felt, with the kiss-If not...I love it MOST!!- Was Wright nominated? Carlos

  • @annularring Bravo.

Sentiments that wish I had written.
