I wasn't going to do this one, but I wanted a fitting end to my whole MMII GameBoy remake project. So here it is, the title theme, stage select and stage start in 8-bit. The video is a little something extra to match the music, and don't forget to click on the robot masters.

What started in just doing Air Man's theme, ended up in doing almost all of the MMII GameBoy music. Like I said before, some of the songs are very underrated and deserve to be heard. Mainly it was the GameBoy soundchip that is to blame. (Well not really the soundchip itself, just the fact that it's been utilised badly). That's why I've made these video's, so people can hear for themselves that some of these songs are not that bad.

I decided to make a special selection screen for this video. I did some splicing with the MMII GameBoy stage select screen. The head sprites are now in color and it has all eight of the robot masters instead of the original four. Also included is a flashy Mega Man II intro.

I had a lot of fun making these, I hope you guys have a lot of fun listening to it.

The music and sprites used in this video are the property of Capcom.

  • Quite frankly, I think MegaMan II had some of the best music in the Game Boy series. Probably second best to MegaMan V. It's just that the instrumentation was done a bit high pitched. I am glad you kept the music sounding like the gameboy, while tweaking the pitch mistakes. Awesome work!

  • Am I the only one who thinks these two themes are better with the high-pitched instruments?

  • Awesome job on these but I don't really care for this game's music. Maybe because I don't have the nostalgia or them being different from the originals or both. These remakes are worth a listen, though I thought the original game's music was almost unbearable.

  • this sounds like megaman's more pissed

  • I don't suppose I can get Mp3s of this stuff, I'm an avid video game soundtrack collector, and I do love Megaman music

  • Good remix btw

  • this is also in dr.wily's stage but the only epic stage theme

  • is there a trance or Deadmau5 remix of this song? it wud totally be awesome, if a pro wud mix this song :)

  • @legomario ... it`s not a port... It`s got original stages. The only similarity is the robot masters are adopted from the NES counterparts of MM2, and MM3... A port by definition is a game which is taken from one console and is updated or downgraded to work on another system... sigh. This game isnt really that bad, its just lacking in some ways.

  • thank you....T__T you are so awesome. we can now enjoy a soundtrack that would have been great if it wasn't for the pitch... you are the savior of this world...

  • The game itself, IMO, is way underrated.
