Columba,our clever Holsteiner mare decided not to foal on a freezing windy night but waited for the sunrise and chose to have her foal near the stallion, the father of her foal, Wetherby Barry Crump who she is very loyal to. He is on the background watching the foal being born.

@reininghorses57 you could do that. but pay attention. i read a story in a horse magazine where the mare laid down to give birth, and her pasture buddy kicked her to get her to stand up because he didn'understand why she laid down. the let him watch from a distance then.
