Ah, it's beautiful to see how far they've come from S1! I honestly don't see how she could live without Damon now, he's her best friend, he could easily become even more (as I'm sure he will with time), it would be too painful for both if they'd somehow loose each other. It's like this - Damon can help her forget Stefan, but Stefan would never help her forget Damon. For what I've seen so far, she was in love with Stefan but he was never her best friend. It was always Damon :)

@SHeRo4kA I know! I was nearly in tears. I could have karate kicked Elena. She's turning into Katherine! I'm fed up with her attitude towards Damon. I'm looking forward to the next episode though. She got what she deserved. I know Elena will be burning with envy and frustration. Damon deserves better, but in saying that.. I want them together so bad.
