Guys, it was A JOKE. He was trying to enlighten that subject. I thought it was funny, and I don't think he was trying to offend anyone.

My Father worked as a Govt. policy advisor for many years & was widely admired. At his funeral last year, countless tributes testified to his passion & energy.
However, reading his diaries it’s clear that he took a ‘radical’ line on AIDS in the 1980s & that this hindered his career. In many meetings he spoke of his ‘pleasure’ that a “righteous plague is eradicating homosexuals & other perverts”, saying that access to condoms should be severely restricted. I had no idea he held these views.
