Fix iPod Touch Digitizer Bezel 2nd Gen 2G Must Know Tips

I go over how to take apart the bezel and iPod Touch digitizer. I show the safest way to remove the display. I give various tips. I DO NOT show how to remove the bezel from the display. Other videos online say you must heat up the bezel to get the adhesive to come loose. My old bezel broke anyway after trying that. This video will give you some very important tips in repairing you own iPod Touch or iPhone, and will give you a few warnings and what not to do... or what may damage your iTouch/iPhone.

does the ipod WITHOUT digitizer work? I mean.. if you try to turn it on does the LCD work?

@burntbit well actually, it does work without the digitizer. you just wont have the multi-touch control. my itouch digitizer's wire/wiretape thing tore. is that possible to fix?

@rawrgoazn No. You cannot fix the cable, the digitizer needs to be replaced. I do iPhone repairs and iPod Touch display repairs now as a business. eyephonerevival (dot) com

hey man i was wondering if the digitizer aka the screen will work without the frame bezel thing cause i tried it and it wasnt working and the ribbion cable was on right it jus wasnt working cause im glueing it on to the frame tomarow and i dont want to if its not gonna work

the bezel holds the home button. I'm pretty sure you would need that.

hey burntbit..... i think i kno whats wrong with your ipod.... (if its only the digitizer that would not work... ) you need to replace the "flex cable" not easy but could be done

what exactly is the bezal and did you say that the home button did not come with the digitizer?

Nice explanation and teaching. My grandson replaced digitizer screen and LCD for iPod touch 2nd gen. There was s problem with the home button though. I told him to reboot it. He says "spring@ is broken. Any advice?
