Destined to be a classic enjoyed by both the professional scholar and the layperson, this comparative religion book contains a startling perspective of the extraordinary history of the Egyptian religion and its profound influence upon the later Christian faith. Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection uses a massive amount of primary sources and the works of highly credentialed authorities in relevant fields to demonstrate that the popular gods Horus and Jesus possessed many characteristics and attributes in common.

Drawing from thousands of ancient Egyptian texts in an assortment of translations along with the original language, as well as modern research in a number of other languages, controversial independent scholar of comparative religion and mythology D.M. Murdock puts together an astonishing amount of fascinating information that shows many of our most cherished religious beliefs and concepts did not appear suddenly out of the blue but have long histories in numerous cultures found around the globe, including and especially in the glorious Land of the Pharaohs.

D.M. Murdock, also known as "Acharya S," is the author of the bestselling books The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold; Suns of God: Krishna, Buddha and Christ Unveiled; and Who Was Jesus? Fingerprints of The Christ. Ms Murdock's books focus largely on the history and origins of religion, dating back thousands of years and encompassing religious ideologies and beliefs of a wide variety that nevertheless reveal common cultural heritage and a keen interest in and reverence for the natural world.

Christ in Egypt will be around 600 pages and contains over 2,200 footnotes/citations, utilizing over 750 sources that include books by respected publishers and peer-reviewed journals. There will also be dozens of illustrations. Available from http://www.stellarhousepublishing.com

Music: Here is an Ancient Egyptian Anthem to the Sun. The musicians and priests and people would gather before dawn and pray and play this anthem for several hours until the sun rose. The anthem recreated here takes place in the final minutes just before the first rays of the sun could be seen. http://shelterofclearlight.com/default.aspx

  • It would be so easy for Jesus to prove D. M. Murdock wrong. All that would be needed would be one million miracles that could not be explained away as coincidences. For example, if everyone who died prematurely were resurrected in the name of Jesus, then that would be all of the proof that most people would need. Christians will tell you that Jesus is giving us freewill. But in the absence of definitive proof, the best choice is love. Check out my videos and my website.

  • Yes - love is the best choice :)

  • this book was over kill on the site and sources.

    great job acharia

  • Why were we lied to for so long....I used to think the Egyptians were evil when I was a child...I wish I could turn back the hands of time and learn the truth from childhood : (

  • @sahure300 so is the one who wants money ?? the Jesus i know said give all your wealth away to the poor and follow me

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. if it's not Jesus it must be Horus , do you have hard evidence that Horus always wants money? or are you just saying Acharya S is wrong? i have to agree on that one

  • @thefreejack66 You're full of baloney is what you are.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX I understand perfectly, you choose who and what you chose to believe in and I'll do the same, the difference is I'm right I know I'm right. But whatever it is what it is, remember it was you who tried to spread your foolish beliefs on me, I simply voiced my opinion as everyone else. Yet you chose to....... as you probably believe enlighten me......... save that nonsense for someone else, I wash my hands of this.

  • @thefreejack66 No. You don't get it.

  • @danieljliversLXXXIX It's still a religious belief, either way you just don't get it. And as for this:

    Pity is weakness.

Take your pity and sholve it right back up where you got it from. I don't want it and I don't need it. Whatever, your reply gives me even more reason to pity you.
